Day 1 – Arrival and welcome dinner in Arusha
As you step off the plane, you are immediately embraced by the warm, fragrant African air. Your private guide welcomes you with a smile and an easy drive to your lodge, nestled in the green foothills of Mount Meru. Tonight, a relaxed welcome dinner awaits, your first taste of adventure.

Day 2 – To the Tanzanian wilderness of Tarangire
Ready to start your safari adventure? The road toward Tarangire winds through small villages and open plains, where daily life unfolds along the roadside. Upon arrival, you will have lunch with stunning views from the terrace. Spend the afternoon unwinding at the pool, with hopefully a glimpse of the first wildlife. Or stretch your legs on a guided walk to the nearby lake.

Day 3 – Elephant-rich plains and iconic baobabs in Tarangire National Park
The soft morning light spills over the savannah as you start your first full day of game drives. Tarangire reveals its charm in many layers: towering baobabs, golden grasslands, and the winding Tarangire River that draws animals in like a magnet. You will follow the dusty tracks in search of elephants, often gathering in impressive numbers, while zebras, giraffes, and maybe even big cats complete the scene.

Day 4 – Vibrant Maasai culture and stunning Rift Valley views
Leaving behind the elephant’s playground, your journey continues toward the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you will visit a genuine Maasai boma (a traditional homestead), where Mama Stephano and her family welcome you with open arms and stories of their vibrant culture.

Day 5 – Vast plains of Serengeti National Park
Today, you continue to the endless Serengeti, where the horizon seems to stretch forever. En route, you will catch a breathtaking glimpse of the Ngorongoro Crater as you follow the winding road along the narrow crater rim. Reaching the Serengeti plains, you will see “kopjes”, ancient rocks rising like islands from the sea of grass. A wet towel and a cold drink await you at your tented camp in the heart of the wilderness before you unwind by the crackling campfire.

Day 6 – Discover Serengeti’s magic
The Serengeti unfolds, a timeless landscape buzzing with life and countless surprises. Spend the day chasing the thrill of spotting lions lounging in the shade. Elusive leopards hiding high in the trees. Or cheetahs perched watchfully atop termite mounds, scanning the plains for their next move. Along the winding rivers, hippos wallow lazily while giraffes nibble treetops and mighty herds of wildebeest and elephants roam freely. It will be a day filled with unforgettable wildlife moments.

Day 7 – From the Serengeti plains to the Ngorongoro highlands
Even on your last day in the Serengeti, you might spot animals you have not yet noticed. After a final morning game drive, you head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Tonight, you will stay in a charming camp nestled in a lush, almost fairytale-like tropical forest, not far from the crater rim, so you can be among the first to enter this natural wonder tomorrow.

Day 8 – In search of the Big 5 in the Ngorongoro Crater
At dawn, you begin your descent down the steep crater rim, being one of the first visitors to enter the legendary “Garden of Eden”. Enjoy a day of game viewing in one of the densest concentrations of animals anywhere on earth. And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the elusive black rhino, one of the hardest Big Five to spot. After a scenic picnic lunch and the maximum of six hours allowed in the crater, you will return to civilization, full of unforgettable impressions and ready to unwind by the pool.

Day 9 – A slow goodbye to the safari life
It is never easy to say goodbye. Not just to the sweeping savannahs and wildlife-filled days, but also to your personal guide, who has shared stories, spotted animals, and become a true friend. After one last morning walk or optional bike ride through the nearby village, it is time to head to Kilimanjaro Airport. With a heart full of memories and perhaps a lump in your throat, you leave Tanzania behind – though the feeling of safari will linger long after you are home.
