Day 1: Arusha NP – Momela Gate (1500 meter) – Miriakamba Hut (2500 meter)
You will be picked up by your driver/guide from your hotel/lodge in Arusha and you will be heading towards Arusha NP. After a short trip through the park you will be driven to Momella Gate where you will meet your guide/cook/porters.

Then your climb towards Miriakamba Hut (2500 meter) will start. The first part of the climb you will be guided by an armed ranger because of the presence of large animals. You will cross tropical rain forest. After a walk of 5 hours u will arrive at Mariakamba Hut for diner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Saddle Hut (3570 meter)
After breakfast you will leave towards Little Meru (3820 meter), a lower top of Mount Meru where a delicious lunch will be prepared. Then you will descend to the Saddle Hut (3570 meter) for diner and overnight stay. Today you will only walk for 3 hours and there will be plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic views to Mount Kilimanjaro and the Maasai Steppes.

Day 3: Mount Meru (4566 meter) – Saddle Hut (3570 meter)
Today is the climax of your climb. Short after midnight you will start your climb towards the top of Mount Meru. The trip will take approximately 5 hours and at clear wheather you will be able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. After having enjoyed being on the top it is time to start the descent towards Saddle Hut (3570 meter) for diner and overnight stay.
