Day 1: Arusha – Moshi
Your personal driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel/lodge in Arusha or directly from Kilimanjaro Airport but we recommend you to have a day of rest in advance of your mountain climb. The you will be heading towards Moshi for diner and overnight stay. Here you will be instructed about your upcoming climb.
Day 2: Mandara Hut (2700 meter)
After breakfast you will be brought by a 4x4 car to your start point Marangu Gate (1980 meter) were you will meet your guide and porters. Then you will start your climb of 4 hours through the Montane forest (tropical) and you will finish at Mandara Hut (2700 meter) to have diner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Horombo Hut (3720 meter)
Today you will be climbing approximately 6 hours leaving the tropical forest behind and you will be crossing steppes and rocky areas and finally will arrive in vulcanic area. You will have diner and overnight stay at Horombo Hut. If you choose to have an extra acclimatisation day, you will have it here.
Day 4:. Kibo Hut (4703 meter)
Your tour of today will take about 7 hours were you will leave the vulcanic area behind and you will be entering alpine area. The top of Mount Kilimanjaro is getting closer. Once arrived at Kibo Hut you can prepare mentally and physically for your last important climb.
Day 5: Uhuru Peak (5895 meter) – Horombo Hut (3720 meter)
Today is the climax of your climb. You will start climbing short after midnight approximately 7 hours to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak where you will arrive in the early morning. After facing all your emotions it is time to sign the “summit book” and to prepare yourself for descending via Kibo Hut towards Horombo Hut (2800 meter), this will take about 5 hours. This day is probably the toughest day of the whole climb.
Dag 6: Moshi
Your adventure has almost finished. Today you will be descending for another 4 hours towards Mweka Gate. If you have reached Uhuru Peak you will be rewarded with a certificate at the gate. Then you will be picked up by our driver to bring you to your hotel/lodge in Moshi or Arusha were you can relax.
