Duration: 5 days/4 nights (choice of hotel/lodge)

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire NP – Lake Manyara NP
Your personal driver/guide will pick you up at 08h00 from your hotel/lodge. Then you will leave Arusha and proceed to Tarangire National Park, which is about a 1,5 hour drive. In this park you will see large herds of elephants near the Tarangire river, or at the dry river beds scratching for underground streams. You will also meet large herds of migratory animals such as wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles and hartebeests. In the morning you will drive through the park searching for all kinds of wild animals.

Besides the wild animals the park hosts the largest diversity of different breeding bird species, approximately 550 varieties of birds. On drier ground you probably will meet the Kori Bustard (the heaviest flying bird) and the ostrich (the largest bird). In the afternoon you will drive to the picnic site in the park to have lunch. After lunch you will continue your safari through the park and you will leave the park at around 16h00 and proceed towards your hotel/lodge in/nearby Lake Manyara NP for diner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara NP – Serengeti NP
You will be picked up at 07h00 from your lodge by your driver/guide. Today you will visit Lake Manyara NP. This park is famous because of its tree climbing lions as well as of its large numbers of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras. Because of the fact that the park is very compact it is very likely that you will meet these animals from a very close distance. On the shores of the Manyara lake you will meet large numbers of birds such as flamingos, storks, pelicans and herons. Around 11h00 you will leave Lake Manyara NP and you will your journey of 205 km to the amazing Serengeti NP. You will drive through the Ngorongoro rain forest and then through the Ngorongoro/Serengeti plains.

On the way you already will meet different kind of animals. Depending on the season here you can be witness of the “great migration”. Around midday you will stop for picnic in the Serengeti NP. This park counts approximately 3 million large animals, which are most migratory animals. De “great migration” is on of the wonders of nature. At the and of the afternoon you will arrive at your hotel/lodge for diner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti NP
Around 07h00 you will leave your hotel/lodge for an early tour through Serengeti NP were it is very likely that you will see the so called “big five” (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo) but also the cheetah in action. You will be surprised by the large numbers of animals.

It is estimated that in this park more then 3,000 lions, 1,6 million wildebeests and 500,000 zebras have their habitat. In the afternoon you will return to your hotel/lodge to have lunch and after lunch you will continue looking for wild animals or birds. In the evening you will be returning again to your hotel/lodge for diner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti NP – Olduvai Gorge - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Around 08h00 you will leave your hotel/lodge for an early morning tour through Serengeti NP were it is very likely that you will see the so called “big five” (elephant, lion, leopard, giraffe, buffalo) but also the cheetah in action. From there on you will be heading towards Olduvai Gorge where you can meet the so called Nut Cracker Man “Zinjanthropus”.

These fossils were discovered by Dr. Leakey in 1995 and are approximately 1,75 million years old. You can also meet the colourful nature people, the Maasia. At the picnic site at Olduvai Gorge you can have your lunch. After lunch you will leave to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to have diner and overnight stay in your hotel/lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Around 07h00 your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel/lodge. Then you will leave to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today you will be rewarded with a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is often called the Eight World Wonder.  Once arrived at the Crater rim, you will descend 610 meter into the Crater.

Here your Crater Safari starts by watching and photographing the wild animals such as the black rhino, lions with black manes, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeest, zebras en many species of birds like flamingos who you will find on the shores of the soda lake. In the afternoon you can have your lunch at the picnic site in the crater. After lunch you will continue your safari and about 16h00 you will proceed to Arusha where you shall arrive at your hotel/lodge at the beginning of the evening.
